According to event officials, Pure Fashion is a faith-based program that encourages teen modeling girls to live, act and dress with dignity through an eight-month model training program that covers public speaking, manners and social graces, hair and makeup artistry, personal presentation and more. The Pure Fashion program culminates in a citywide fashion show featuring clothing that is pretty but not provocative, trendy and tasteful, according to event officials.

Teen models, who represented 15 different schools in Akron and Cleveland, modeled in the show. They modeled clothing from a local Dillard’s, Kohl’s and Gap.

Brenda Sharman, a former Miss Georgia and national director of the Pure Fashion Show, spoke at the show.
